一昨日、富士宮口5合目からプリンスルートを抜けて山頂まで行ってきました。天気がとてもよく、景色がとてもきれいにでした。

平日ということもあり、登山客はとても少なかったのですが、そんな中とても素敵な出会いもたくさんありました。

I went up to the peak of Mt. Fuji from Fujinomiya trail through Prince route the day before yesterday. The weather was splendid and views were super!

Since it was weekday, the number of climber were less, however, I had some nice meetings with climbers.



スウェーデンから来た男性の方。名前を何回か聞きましたが、私が発音ができず、覚えることをギブアップでした。彼は前日の夜からの弾丸登山らしく、フラフラになって歩いていました。

A man from Sweden. I asked his name a few times, but I gave up to remember his name since I never could pronaunce his name.... He seemed to climb from midnight without sleeping. His legs were not stable since his tire was so tired.



ハロルドさん。技術者で日本に来て半年だそうです。南ドイツの出身で私が以前住んでいたところからそう遠くないところの出身の方でした。

Mr. Harald from Germany. He was from south Germany and the city seems to be not very far from my previous woking place.



そして大阪から来た宮田さん親子。最初は会社の上司と部下と思って話していたら、なんと親子でした。3回目の挑戦で、前回は雨で途中下山したそうです。こうやって、何回も来ていただけるのは本当にうれしいことです。

Miyata family. I thought they were a boss and staff, but they were family after talking a while. It was their third challenge to climb Mt. Fuji and they gave up after climbing a few hours since the weather was horrible. I am happy to hear that people returned to Mt. Fuji after bitter experience.

富士山には多くの出会いがあります。人と出会うこと、それも自分が登る理由の一つです。今年の夏も素敵な出会いが待っていると思うと毎日がとても楽しく感じます。

We can have nice meetings at Mt. Fuji. To meet new people, this is what I enjoy most at Mt. Fuji. I am very excited if I imagine that lots of meetings are waiting for me.
